Spooky Book Club
This fall, Girls Inc. of York Region invites girls ages 5–12 to join our Spooky Book Clubs! Build literacy skills, foster a love for reading, and develop lasting friendships in a supportive, pro-girl environment. Each session includes themed activities, crafts, and nutritious snacks.
📚 Spooky Book Club (Ages 5–8)
Dates: September 23 – October 28, 2025
Time: Tuesdays, 4–6 PM
Location: NEW! 154 Wellington St E, Aurora, ON
Cost: $50 member price | $60 non-member price (subsidy available)
Young readers will enjoy listening to engaging Halloween-themed read-alouds, following along with stories, and participating in fun related crafts and activities. This fall, we’ll be reading from Griselda Snook’s Spectacular Books by Barry Timms & Laura Borio, and Spoops: The Little Spirits of Halloween by AJ Locascio & Laurie A. Conley.

Older readers will dive into Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega. Each participant will receive their own copy of the book to read and keep at the end of the program. Sessions include reading, discussions, crafts, and activities that bring the spooky story to life.
