Welcome to Girls Incorporated® of York Region, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing girls with the tools they will need to be strong, smart, and bold. We offer a number of programs and services for girls between the ages of 4-18 and their families within York Region and Bradford.

Our Mission: Empowering girls to realize their full potential through gender specific programming that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.^SM

Drawing on our extensive experience in girls’ specific programming, we aim to empower all girls to realize their full potential through intentional and compensatory programming. All of our programs are research-based, informal, and educational. They utilize hands-on, participatory activities in out-of-school settings to stimulate girls’ interests, increase learning, and develop confidence.

Girls Incorporated® programs place emphasis on six critical areas of skill development: careers and life planning; health and sexuality; leadership and community action; sports and adventure; self-reliance and life skills; and culture and heritage.

Through Girls Incorporated® programs, girls learn to embrace their natural curiosities, to face their fears, and to trust their own judgement. Members of Girls Incorporated® develop the skills they need to be successful in life, to be confident in their choices, and to realize their dreams. Join us today!

Who We Are: We are Girls Incorporated^® of York Region - a non-profit organization dedicated to the healthy development of girls and young women in York Region and Bradford. We recognize the need for programming geared specifically to girls that address their special interests and strengths.

What We Do: We run gender-specific programs for girls ages 4-18 years that promote awareness and self discovery in such critical areas as self-esteem development, sexuality, career choices, peer pressure, and body image.

Where We Are: Our head office is located in Newmarket, Ontario but you can find us at locations throughout York Region and Bradford. You’ll see us at schools, community centres, libraries, special events, and in the community.

When We’re There: Girls Incorporated^® runs programs throughout the calendar year. Many of our programs run at schools during the lunch hour and after-school period.

Why We Do It: To provide safe environments that allow girls the opportunity to make their own choices. To provide girls with the skills to be strong, smart, and bold.

How We Deliver: With the help of our staff, board, and the hundreds of volunteers that make up the backbone of our agency.
